We are going to tell you about the week we had health class with Ms. Jinca. During those 6 lessons we learned how to read labels, looked at the food pyramid, and how to choose healthy snacks. 1st we learned how to read labels we were looking for a drink or snack with not so much sugar, fat , or saturated fat. For example we decided that Mt. dew was not a good drink because of all the sugar in it. One day we saw how much sugar was in our favorite drink. The results were: Mt. Dew with 77 grams of sugar, Ice with 13 grams of sugar and Sobe with 75 grams. We also compared Gatorade, vitamin water, and tea but with these we did not remember the results. To measure the sugar we used 1 teaspoon per gram. As you can see we have learned how to choose healthy snacks and drinks by looking at nutrition facts.
